Arrest Records in Horry County
Horry County Police Department is the primary police agency in the unincorporated county. Myrtle Beach, Conway, and North Myrtle Beach keep their own city arrest reports. South Carolina Highway Patrol handles state-highway enforcement, and Coastal Carolina University has its own public-safety jurisdiction. The Horry County Sheriff's Office serves criminal warrants, runs court security, and oversees the jail. That split means the Sheriff may hold booking and warrant data without holding the police narrative.

Its contacts point Horry County arrest searchers to the right custody or warrant unit, but the arresting police agency remains the source for its incident report.
An arrest record proves that an agency alleged probable cause and took a person into custody. It does not prove guilt. Filed charges may differ from booking allegations, and a later case can end in dismissal, nolle prosequi, no bill, acquittal, or conviction. Searchers should read those stages as separate records.
Four Horry County Arrest Records

CATCH costs $25 plus the portal's stated online processing charge. The mail option uses SLED's official form, a business check, certified check, cashier's check, or money order, and a self-addressed stamped envelope. Cash and personal checks are not accepted. Horry County Arrest Report Custodians
Horry County's police and sheriff split trips up many record requests. HCPD Records, not the Sheriff, keeps narratives created by county police officers. Its number is 843-915-8344, and involved persons may send the required identifiers and an ID copy to hcpdrecords@horrycountysc.gov. A city incident stays with that city police department. The Sheriff oversees JRLDC, warrants, sex-offender registration, civil process, and court security.

The Sheriff Warrant Division is 843-915-8347. HCPD separately lists Warrants at 843-915-5688. SLED CATCH omits wanted-person information, so an empty name report is not warrant clearance. A person checking a possible warrant should call the relevant warrant office and issuing court for confirmation and instructions.
Arrest Records: What They Contain

JRLDC is the central Horry County booking facility, separate from the Conway courthouse that keeps the later General Sessions file.
A current log is not a lifetime arrest index. People move off a current-custody view after release, and a booking may appear before the court receives the charge. Someone committed to state prison should be checked through the SCDC Incarcerated Inmate Search rather than assumed to remain in the county roster.

Horry County Bond Record Timing
JRLDC reports that magistrate bond hearings and guilty pleas usually occur at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Posted Magistrate Office hours are weekdays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and weekends or holidays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., though callers should confirm current timing. Cash and surety bond payments accept cash, money orders, and major cards. Personal checks are not accepted, and exact cash is required.

Its local term “Cash and Dash” covers a bondable-pay offense whose bond amount equals the fine, but the person must still attend the ticket court date.
Bond information is one stage, not the final case result. Conditions may change, and a magistrate entry does not replace the General Sessions disposition. Home Detention at 4155 J. Reuben Long Avenue uses GPS and SCRAM monitoring and treats monitored defendants as incarcerated while allowing them to reside at home.
Horry County Arrest Report Copies
An involved person may obtain an HCPD report free at any of the five precincts by showing photo ID and giving the case number or occurrence address and date. The same person may email those identifiers with an ID copy. The HCPD Citizens page documents this route. A person not named in the report cannot use email. That requester must visit a precinct, pay $2 exact change, and receive the record with identifying information redacted, or use county FOIA.
